Have a Sweet Time with the Whole Family at Hershey Park

One of the most popular attractions in all of Pennsylvania is Hershey Park. In fact, this theme park is well known around the globe and countless families flock there every year to partake in the fun the park has to offer. Hershey, Pennsylvania is located in the center of the state, which makes it just a short trip from Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., and New York.

Hershey Park is one of the top amusement parks in the nation, and is a great place for all members of the family to reconnect and have a fun time. It was not always a theme park for the public, however. Milton S. Hershey built it in 1907 as a place where his employees could relax. Soon, they opened it to the public and began to add more and more attractions until it became the world famous park that it is today.

Hershey Park boasts eleven roller coasters such as the Comet and the Storm Runner. If you aren’t a thrill seeker, don’t worry. You can find plenty of other rides and attractions that move at a slower pace, including a Ferris Wheel, and a carousel. For those who are in love, you may want to check out the Kissing Tower, decorated similar to the famous Hershey’s Kiss. You can even great water rides for the steamy summer months when nothing feels as good as taking a nice cool dunk.

The park also provides great shows and entertainment, as well as plenty of places to eat with the whole family.

Located nearby and included with the price of admission to the park is ZooAmerica, a zoo that specializes in the preservation of North American wildlife. While at the zoo, you can learn more about the importance of conservation, and see animals such as mountain lions, wolves, and alligators. It is a great excursion for the family when you want a break from the rides and shows in Hershey Park.

While visiting the area attractions, you and your family can stay at great places such as the Hotel Hershey, the Hershey Lodge and Convention Center, and a number of other local (and conveniently located) hotels.

A trip to Hershey Park and the related attractions is sure to provide a great time for every member of the family. There is plenty to do and you can make memories that will last a lifetime. And don’t forget to load up on candy bars!
